  4. Click in the blank box to the right of the Chart box, and enter the patient's name (last name, first name). Press the Tab key to move the cursor to the Home Phone box.

  5. Enter the patient's home phone. Press Tab to go to the Cell Phone box.

  6. Finish entering information in the boxes, as appropriate.

  7. Click the Save button.

  7. Make a selection in the Frequency column.

  8. Make entries in the additional boxes that appear. (These will vary depending on whether you selected Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly in the Frequency column.)

  9. Click the arrow for the drop-down list in the End on box. A calendar pops up. Set the calendar to the date when the repeating appointment should stop.

  10. Click the OK button.

  11. Check the calendar to be sure the repeating appointments are correct.

11.7 Demonstrate how to reschedule an appointment.

  1. Locate the appointment that needs to be changed. Make sure the appointment slot is visible on the provider's daily schedule.

  2. Click on the existing time-slot box. A black border surrounds the slot to indicate that it is selected.

  3. Click Cut on the Edit menu. The appointment disappears from the schedule.

  4. Click the date on the calendar when the appointment is to be rescheduled.

  5. Click the desired time-slot box on the schedule. The slot becomes active.

  6. Click Paste on the Edit menu. The patient's name appears in the new time-slot box.

  1. In Medisoft, click the Patient Recall Entry shortcut button. The Patient Recall dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the Recall Date box, enter the date the patient needs to have a follow-up appointment. Press Tab.

  3. Select the patient's provider from the drop-down list in the Provider box. Press Tab.

  4. Select the patient in the Chart box.

  5. Enter the procedure code that corresponds to the appointment, if known.

  6. Verify that the appropriate radio button is selected in the Recall Status box.

  7. Click the Save button to save the entry.

  6. Confirm that the date and time are correct.

  9. If the break is for more than one day, press the Change button. The Repeat Change dialog box is displayed.

  11. Click the Save button to enter the break in Office Hours.

  12. Verify that the break has been entered correctly.

  6. Click the OK button. The Print dialog box appears.
